Connect your lumber to a national market
Cambium connects your mill to buyers sourcing domestic wood by species, grade, and origin — architects, builders, and manufacturers who need what you produce.
The demand on the other side

What we do
Demand
Cambium is actively driving demand for domestic wood, working with buyers across the country to specify and procure by species, grade, and origin. When your mill produces what they need, we bring that demand to you.
Fit
We start by learning your mill: species mix, grades, capacity, and where you're selling today. Then we bring you the opportunities that match, and only those. No systems to adopt, no obligations to us.
Growth
When you're ready to run a new species, a new service, or a new line, we bring the demand first. The market is there before the investment is.
Demand your mill can plan around
Relationships in this industry run generations deep. We're not asking you to replace yours. What Cambium adds is demand: standing orders for domestic wood across species and regions, from furniture makers to enterprise construction. Our supply team has spent their careers in wood, and material already moves through our network of 220+ mills and supply partners across the country. Start with one load alongside the buyers you already have. If the demand is real, it earns its place.

It starts with a conversation, not a system
There is nothing to integrate and nothing to learn. The first step is a conversation about your operation and fiber sources, and what you share is your call. We've been on the mill side of this business, and we know what that information is worth. When your production matches demand in our network, you hear from us. When wood moves, our technology handles the tracking, so the buyer gets their documentation and nothing gets added to your day.

Demand that matches what you already run
A growing segment of buyers specifies domestic wood by species, grade, and origin. That demand rarely reaches the mills producing exactly what it calls for. We work with those buyers daily, and we know their specs, volumes, and timelines. When they match your production, that's throughput for lumber you're already sawing, with no retooling and no speculation.

Finding a market first
When Hurricane Helene put Southern Yellow Pine on the ground across western North Carolina, Parton Lumber had the capacity to run it and a reason not to. They'd exited the product line years earlier. Cambium brought committed demand first, and with an outlet in place, Parton restarted the line and turned storm salvage into profitable throughput. That's how we approach every mill's next move. A species you've stepped away from, a value-add service you've been weighing, a material your region suddenly has in volume: the demand comes first, so the numbers work before the decision does.

Ways to partner
Every mill starts in a different place. These are the three most common ways.
Move more of what you mill
Your current species mix and grades, connected to buyers you don't reach today. No new equipment, no change to how you run.
Grow into what's next
A new species, a new profile, or a value-add line like thermally modified lumber, with demand lined up before you retool. We see what buyers are specifying nationally, and we bring that intelligence to your decision.
Turn regional opportunity into revenue
Storm salvage, underutilized local species, fiber nobody in your region is buying. When the material is there, we organize the demand side.
Local everywhere
The Cambium network of suppliers is coast to coast. In small towns, big cities, and lorem ipsum.

Making modern wood work for everyone

The American wood industry is broken. Sawmills across America are closing, carbon emissions are at an all-time high, and buyers are paying a premium for opaque, commodity lumber. We know there’s a better way. So we’re building it.
Start with what you're producing
The first conversation is about understanding your mill. Species mix, grades, volumes, and where you're selling today. From there, we find where your production meets demand we already have.
