Carbon Smart Wood’s Douglas Fir is produced from fallen douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii). Douglas fir is a proven structural softwood: strong for its weight, dimensionally reliable, and marked by a straight, warm-toned grain that finishes as well as it performs. Ours comes from Pacific Northwest trees that fell naturally, came out of wildfire mitigation work, or were removed from urban and managed landscapes, a local, traceable source.
