Carbon Smart Wood’s Thermal Sycamore is produced from Sycamore (London plane). Sycamore is a fast-growing, widely planted urban species with limited traditional uses. Thermal modification — heat and steam, no chemicals — enhances its durability and decay resistance while deepening and accentuating its natural grain, including the lace-like ray fleck that makes quartersawn sycamore so distinctive. It’s a design-forward option that naturally stands up to moisture and wear.
