A light escort designed originally by American shipbuilding firms. Massing at 25,000 tons, its firepower is primarily point-defense, with ten X-Ray Pulse Lasers and four anti-fighter missile emplacements. Against starships, it is limited to a Neutron Cannon mounted on the bow. Dimensions are 160 meters by 40 meters by 34 meters. One Energy Deflector screen provides protection for the Meade. Twin Ion Thrust Engines provide 220 Gs of acceleration at max burn.

In-service Meade class ships include CSV Guardian, CSV Zoe Falkenburg, and CSV Roger Hamilton.
