Massing 1.8 million tons, the H.M.S. Goliath-class is the only surviving dreadnought in the modern Coalition Navy. Originally built by the British, Goliath and her sister ships Dreadnaught, Vanguard, and Lion served in the peacetime navy of the first half of the 25th Century and the first decade of the war against the League. All have since been retired and converted into reserves and training ships; due to heavy battle damage Dreadnaught has been scrapped.
Four years ago H.M.S. Lion was released to the CDF Starship Engineering Corps. Recommissioned as CSV Lion of Judah, she is the testbed for the Coalition's new negative matter reactor.
