This old British design has been decommissioned and all examples of the Daring have been destroyed or scrapped. Its service in the TC fleet was short lived due to the unreliability of its experimental Vickers Mag Cannons. The guns housed a Vickers designed energy core which was theoretically capable of yielding much higher output than conventional models, but in the field the core tended to critically shut down under heavy stress. Since the guns were integrated directly into the rest of the Daring's systems, refits proved impossible and the class was doomed to a very short service life.
